Today is a lovely day to gather you around for another introduction to a new single so freshly released it’s still cooling as we speak. This time it’s the second single by a young and upcoming artist named Thals.

Youthful coolness running in her blood, she is a skater girl who just recently, in the last year, also picked up the journey of a music-writing artist. Her music is a raw and unfiltered window to the world of a young person looking into understanding their feelings. If you’re curious to know what to expect from her musical endeavors, here is her answer:

“The unexpected. I don’t know exactly what I’m doing yet, but I do know exactly what I’m not doing; wasting time. One day I write a indie-punk banger and the day after I’ll write a dreamy shoegaze self-love anthem. I don’t even know what I’ll do next, but I know for damn sure its gonna blow you away.”

The single, beginning with reverberant guitar notes, quickly takes up the speed when the shoegazy pop rock beat takes you for a dive into the hazy love-filled world. If you have ever fallen in love, it sounds just like it – the sheer adrenaline and anxiety of having found someone you can’t get enough of, ever.

“It comes from a disheartening point in 2020, isolation mixed with a little dose of heartbreak and longing. I was in a songwriting session with my buddy Askil, and we got inspired by the sounds of Daylow and Blanks. Ironically, I went into the session wanting to write something happy, and as soon as we got the first three chords, the chorus came to me instantly. I dont know how, but at one my lowest points, we managed to write one of the most uplifting songs I’ve ever written. I then took the song to my producer Decria and well the rest the story is in the sounds that you hear.”
