Flow State “Avon Giants”

Folky pop sounds, campfire tales, saxophone and sweet woman vocals – if any of these goes right up your alley, then we have some very good news. A new gem has popped up in the musical world to drop their first sparkling single today, full of good vibes together with awesome storytelling!

Flow State is a fresh-faced UK duo with South-West origins. Formed by Jordan and Jemma, they join their instrumental skills together to create an interesting and one-of-a-kind blend of indie pop and electronica. Performing on stage is not alien to them – the duo has already performed on a variety of venues like O2 and festivals all over the country.

Today they’re releasing their debut single called “Avon Giants”, which also marks an upcoming busy year with more singles scheduled.

As the song begins, it immediately gives this mystical almost Nancy Sinatra-sounding storytelling vibe right from the beginning, inviting to sit around the fire and listen to the performance. A catchy beat joins to carry on together with the singers’ celebrating charming vocals, topped by the juicy saxophone melodies.
The stunning song full of folksy elements is based on a folklore and is a homage to Bristol, where the story is from:

This is our debut single as Flow State – the track is based on ancient Bristol folklore where we met and studied for 3 years. The story of the Avon Giants follows the tragedy of 2 brothers – Goram and Vincent who end up competing for the heart of princess Avona by draining the Chew valley lake out into the river Severn creating a huge gorge – known as the Avon Gorge which the South Wests proudest landmark sits on top of – the Clifton Suspension bridge. We wrote this in homage to the beautiful city of Bristol which has gifted us with so much influence over the years and so it had to be our debut release. we wanted to tell the story in a fairy-tale, story teller fashion with folk elements and a video that portrays the story with marionette puppets.”
