MOXY ONE - "Never Break Up"

Making up excuses to remain in a relationship where both partners know they shouldn’t be isn’t a rare case, most likely the feelings they’ll both encounter will be negative, however, MOXY ONE turned the tables and gave this romantic dilema an uplifting vibe with their new, and first, single “Never Break Up“. A positive, catchy, indie-rock song mixed with negative overtones in the lyrics “just like the relationship that the two people have“.

Filled with harmonies and guitar tones that remind us of The Strokes’ old days, “Never Break Up” is a groove-filled song that’ll make you look away from your problems of the heart… or face them in a bit more positive way. Whichever the case, MOXY ONE’s debut single is a contagious piece of art deserving of a good dance-floor.

Frontman Mike Chancellor loves the process of songwriting because of its creative and sharing capacities; showing a specific time or memory to the listeners, letting them in to the personal experiences of either the songwriter or someone else. Mike’s songwriting process is a mixture between letting the music come to him when he least expects it and taking his time and keeping it simple with the lyrics. “I find that I need to be patient with them and not overthink them.”

First listeners might expect sounds, harmonies, and energies like Green Day, Oasis and Razorlight. The track was written and recorded by Mike Chancellor and mixed and mastered by Louis Raymond. The bass line is filled with a Bowie, funky, driving vibe and drums are so tight they might fit in your back pocket.
