Downtempo is a powerful sub-genre in the world of electronic music. Instinct chatter opens up Anaté’s new song “Flow“. a slow and precise piano chord begins to build and the smooth and captivating vocal stylings of Ana bring the song to life. Meaningful songwriting is hard to achieve but Anaté’s found a way to mesh a range of vocal elements with production tailored to amplify these deer meanings.
“Flow” is not just a smooth Downtempo song but a soulful and ear candy-esque listen drawn from emotion. The layers of Elements that make this song a highly replayed recommendation but my favorite standout factor to the lisensability of Flow was the Mixing and mastering along with a depiction of emotion expressed through music. I also really enjoyed the live instrumentation and how Anaté’ gave every instrument some time to breathe. Flow’s production is centred around a live set with drums, bass and acoustic guitar, paired with layers of samples and extensive use of delays, giving the track a “dragging” feel throughout.
“I was just jamming on the piano when I came up with the pattern and the melody. I remember being so excited about it that I texted Andrea saying, ‘hey stop doing what you are doing, I just wrote something super cool omg listen to this!!’. The lyrics were then written quite easily: the beat gave me the feeling of freedom, so the song talks about embracing who you are, exploring your creativity and just let it flow, just put it out there. Love who you are and celebrate that every day in every single way”

Flow came from Ana finishing the structure of the song. The piano pattern and lyrics. I layered the arrangement on top of that, trying to keep it simple to give space to Ana’s voice. I had an ‘omg moment’ as well when I wrote the acoustic guitar fingerpicked pattern, because it completes the piano part so well.”
