Xaviera, an independent artist full of deep-rooted passion, executes a splendid debut with the R&B and fiery ‘6’, her first single.
Raised in Reading, Pennsylvania, the hometown to pop sensations Keith Haring and Taylor Swift, Xaviera is a newly-debuted artist who’s following the same path towards her dream. With a friend of hers since age four, Piano, being the person that made music a fundamental aspect of her life, the artist has been able to experience a long time relating music to her life and using it as an outlet for emotions and thoughts.
After broadening her music palette as she taught herself how to sing, Xaviera has performed at various open mics across Manhattan, including a venue where internationally acclaimed artist Lady Gaga once performed: The Bitter End. Since then, Xaviera has only become more determined to become an artist worthy of recognition and who can hopefully influence and inspire others.
Her single 6, rated R for language, is the ideal introduction to the sound Xaviera is pursuing in her forthcoming EP, which is expected to come out in late 2021.

The young artist takes vocal influences from big R&B artists such as The Weeknd and H.E.R, and her sound has been compared to the two artists, in addition to Summer Walker, Sade, and Aaliyah, to only name a few. Considering whom she is influenced by, it is only to be expected that her sound is slightly reminiscent of theirs, it being a smooth rhythm with a deep base, and suave vocals that flow just as naturally as the arrangement does.
6 was written during the time Xaviera spent in lockdown. The name of the track is a reference to New York City’s 6 train, infamous within the city for over a hundred years. The singer-songwriter is inspired by the mundane and unusual happenings that took place inside of that subway floor, ranging from the normality of a break up phone call and the love and joy witnessed during a proposal, to the occasional phoney bomb threats that she’d heard there.
The track 6 is the story of a woman who was helplessly in love with a taken man, and how she joined a ride she’s now unable to leave; as the wheels keep turning, the protagonist thinks back to the traps present in her first love, and how she went from being a passionate young girl to turning into a person full of regret and shame as she conveys her despair.
Xavier has confirmed that her first EP, of unknown name, will be following the same story for several different perspectives. With 6 as the indicator to her sound and the themes she will be exploring in her upcoming releases, Xaviera is able to build up hype and leave listeners wondering what new information we’ll get once we listen to the other side of things.
Her project is a sure way to attract and entrap anyone with a preference for well-developed storytelling and the common R&B beats. If you don’t want to miss a single detail of the story, there’s no choice but to keep an eye out for whatever Xaviera will deliver in the near future.
