Ghoul Talk, Raine Emily, Broken Links and more…

May 02, 2021.

Week 17 2021 Hi y’all here I’m with another round of 9 Albums/EPs you should listen to released all of them last April except for the last one from last year (if you want you can take a look to our previous week here).

1.- Ghoul Talk  Magician Debut EP. In her words: “I started writing this EP when I moved to Seattle 3 years ago, and there were many songs that were cut from it. After everything was finished, I realized that each of the songs represented one of those three years – Migraine/Headache was my first year here, when I was sick and depressed”.  You can read our review here. Alternative / Indie Rock Seattle

2.- Raine Emily Songs For An Indie Movie In her own words: “This EP is an honest look at the emotions humans face when we go through heartbreak. It’s a look into being human.”  Keep reading our review here. Indie pop / Indie Rock Canada Vancouver.

3.- Broken Links. On Mark Lawrence words “Conflict States is an album built on my frustration. Frustration at being a band that’s always been ignored. Frustration that we have to spend a fortune of our own money to make the band look and sounds as professional as possible, only for no-one to ever spend money on our music. Frustration that idiots are running the world. Frustration at the state of the world. Frustration at people mindlessly murdering one another. Frustration at how society behaves. Frustration.

4.- Lewis Daniel States Of Being. “a journey into the sonic world of the young composer and saxophonist, blurring the boundaries between jazz, hip-hop, gospel, garage and grime. The result is both expansive and intricate, spanning the vast spectrum of Black music”. OUTSTANDING!!! Jazz / crossover jazz UK London.

5.- moshimoshi Self-titled Debut EP. “The band’s music combines melodic indie pop, mathematically precise jazz elements and punk-inspired raw emotion”. Punk / Emo Rock. Helsinki.

6.- Temple Garden Redshift  “Formed in Austin, TX after moving from Canton, OH in 2019. The release of the 13 track album is accompanied by a 4 part “radio drama” mini-series inspired by the “golden age of radio” and radio plays like those by Orson Welles and others. The release of the album is also supported by a music video for “Redshift” and several 360 degree “listening” videos that put you in the driver’s seat of the patrol ship as you listen through the album’s leading singles “Redshift” and “Vacuum Sky”. Indie Rock / Psyechedelic USA Texas

7.- Low Girl Big Now  Debut EP “delves into feelings of loss, apathy and self-doubt across five tracks, ranging from the irresistible alt-pop of lead single ‘Big Now, to the restrained indie-folk of ‘Lovable Maybe’ and closing with the grandiose and hopeful ‘Sertraline’. Indie Pop / UK

8.- Dina RizvicWaves is a new electronic EP self-produced, written and recorded by Dina Rizvic, young awarded composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in London, UK. Alternative Pop

9- Spectator 6 Self-titled Debut Album In their own words “Our music is a mix of sounds from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, with hints of video game soundtracks, italian disco, and Beatles-esque harmonies. Synthesizers and drums created on an iPad”. New Wave / Electropop Vancouver
