HopeFool – Collapse

Following their latests singles, Nocturnal and Eden (Losing Touch), Austin’s hard rockers, HopeFool have unleashed their new single “Collapse“. A song that feels like a journey in itself, “Collapse” chronicles the journey from failure to success.

HopeFool is a four piece band made up by Michael Boyd (vocals), Dylan Kortz (guitar), Daniel Steinschrieber (Bass), and Chris Campagna (drums); all brought together thanks to Chris’s efforts and friendship with each of them.

Influenced by hard rock/metal bands like Architects, Chevelle, The Color Morale, Thrice, Seether, Slaves, Breaking Benjamin, and Emery, HopeFool brings the heat with high gain guitars, slamming drums, driving bass and emotive vocals.

Collapse tells the story of how Michael became the frontman of the band after never being in a band before. “Michael had never been in a band before this year and he’s almost 30.” A song about chasing dreams even if it feels like their aren’t going anywhere at the beginning and that no one is even noticing. A song to prove that it is always worth a shot.

Michael’s singing style mixes story telling, almost like a conversation, with high reaching melodies, emotion and sensible delivery. Each member of the band has unique styles and experience but they seem to work out perfectly as a whole. Their hard-hitting compositions stand amongst the greatest hard rock/metal artists we’ve had since the last decades.

We encourage you to listen to Collapse, and also every song in HopeFool’s catalog which, even though there’s still not many, each one holds a big, professional sound and the possibility to reach through the listeners taste.

Unfortunately, the band hasn’t played live yet, but I’m sure we’ll see them at big festivals soon enough.

This song was made with the help of Robby Joyner and Richard Wicander, who helped with recording, production, and mastering in Spring, Tx.
