NEW SINGLE – Friday 7th May 2021
154 seconds of polished indie-pop-rock from the Manchester trio Hollows! – a great little aperitif for what it is come later in the year – more singles, live dates and hopefully an album!

With an intro that catapults you right back to the late 80’s and with some Bunnymen sounds on show throughout the song, ‘Advice’ is the future hit that you have been waiting to hear. The lead singer veers between the deliveries of Alex Turner and Brian Molko but in his own pithy, terse style – and it becomes quickly apparent that this is a song destined to be heard on a bigger stage and in a sweaty venue.

“Retrospect doesn’t care what your advice is”
Every song needs a killer line and this is the one that will stick with you after hearing this song.

towards the end of the year.
This is a song that benefits from some generosity on the volume controls! It’s a song you want to hear live, a song that has you reminiscing about the good old days of concerts before the last year struck and changed the world as we know it beyond anything we could ever have anticipated.

Liverpool and Manchester Academy, as well as festivals such as Sound City and Tramlines.
I can imagine Hollows opening up some of their shows with ‘Advice’ to get the crowd going right from the start. Until we get that tour announcement though, you need to get this song into one of your ‘on-repeat’ summer play-lists.
