José Hoek is a Venezuelan artist and music producer who specializes in electronic music with analog sounds. He has recently collaborated with other important Venezuelan musicians such as Viniloversus, Recordatorio, Gustavo Casas, Lolita de Sola, El Otro Polo and Ava Casas.
“Los Aviones” is part of a planned series of releases for this year. In this single José explores a new and fresher face, bringing analog and digital together to the genre of Pop Rock.

Even though the main theme for “Los Aviones” derives from the nostalgia and feelings of loss that comes from the irretrievable breakdown of a love relationship, it is a pretty fun song to hear and dance to. It features the 80s analog sounds we all recognize and love, with a modern twist of creative production that keeps the song dynamic, flowing and interesting for the listener.
“Los Aviones” comes with a very artistic video made by the renowned Mexican production company, BlackBuffalo. It was directed by Lariss de la Vega. The cover art and visual concept was developed by Ochodías in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The track was recorded by the artist at Hoek Sound Lab, in Caracas. It was mixed by the renowned engineer Pedro Rovetto (Bomba Estéreo, Aterciopelados, Petitfellas) at Arbol Naranja in Bogotá and mastered by Dave McNair.
Hoek is by all means an accomplished musician, having received several nominations for his music in his country, and reached millions of views on his Youtube videos. He even made a short film that traveled over 70 festivals around the world, same that received several laurels.
He has also been reviewed on important musical media like Rolling Stone and Billboard, amongst others. He is currently working on the launch of his new album. It will include “Los Aviones” and other songs that are yet to be released.

José Hoek es un artista y productor musical venezolano que se especializa en música electrónica con sonidos analógicos. Recientemente ha colaborado con otros importantes músicos venezolanos como Viniloversus, Recordatorio, Gustavo Casas, Lolita de Sola, El Otro Polo y Ava Casas. "Los Aviones" es parte de una serie de lanzamientos planificados para este año. Cuenta con los sonidos analógicos de los 80 que todos reconocemos y amamos, con un toque moderno de producción creativa que mantiene la canción dinámica, fluida e interesante para el oyente. "Los Aviones" viene con un video bastante artístico de la reconocida productora mexicana, BlackBuffalo. Fue dirigida por Lariss de la Vega. La portada y el concepto visual fue desarrollado por Ochodías en Guadalajara, México. La pista fue grabada por el artista en Hoek Sound Lab, en Caracas. Fue mezclado por el reconocido ingeniero Pedro Rovetto (Bomba Estéreo, Aterciopelados, Petitfellas) en Arbol Naranja en Bogotá y masterizado por Dave McNair.
