Scott Klein “Sunshine”

First time listening to this, it gave me this Kings of Leon meets Arctic Monkeys vibe because of it’s guitar and drum line, and slowly dancing in The Smith’s main man, Morrissey. All those three epic icons in the music industry…in one track.

It didn’t take several loops for it to grow on me, because I personally loved it on the first go. So who is the artist behind this love at first listen track, might you ask? Perhaps one of Canada’s best kept secrets or hidden gems – Scott Klein. Making promising music since just 2020, this artist is definitely one to look out for. Smooth, persuasive, somewhat dark and sexy, his latest single Sunshine guarantees to sweep you off your feet, slowly sway your hips with a beer in hand and a lover on the other while at your local pub or speakeasy.

“It’s about an ex lover that had died tragically but I did not find out until years later that she had passed. When I had returned to my home town, or where I grew up rather.”

Scott Klein on his latest single Sunshine

Sunshine boasts a dark/indierock/country enticing beat, that will have you put it on repeat all night long. A well written and thought of song with perfectly delivered lyrics about a former lover, composed on the plains of Saskatchewan, backed by four-time Juno winner and previous guitarist of The Sheepdogs, Leot Hanson alongside skull creek producer Aspen Beveridge to complete this soul satisfying song. Klein’s vision and mission in music overall, comes full circle in this song. It surely was a pleasure listening to it and I hope you guys love it as much as I do.
