Call In Dead are BACK! Your favorite punk / metal / hardcore group are back in the saddle with their fresh new single “Fuck You Yankee Blue Jeans“, a song which’s title was born after a scene of the movie Clerks. “Fuck You Yankee Blue Jeans!!”
In case you missed Call In Dead’s previous article and single, “Summer Camp”, you can find it here.
Veteran punks ‘Call In Dead’ have returned with a highly energetic metal delivery. A mix of punk, metal and hardcore, “Fuck You Yankee Blue Jeans” has been the band’s opening song for a while now. “It’s been our show opener forever. The intro that happens in the first 5-10 seconds was added after we used this as our opener for a while.“
Meant to be reminiscent of a Slayer’s song (If you’re a fan you’ll probably know which), this single is filled with sick distorted riffs and heavy a$$ screaming vocals. They picked the name because of a scene in the 1994 movie “Clerks”, in which Silent Bob’s Russian cousin comes to America to be a metal singer. “His band in Moscow was called Yankee Blue Jeans.“
Ostensibly a punk band, Call In Dead have also many roots and influences from the metal world and the NYHC world, making it appropriate to name a metal-sounding song off of a fake Russian metal band. Nasdrovia!

“There is literally nothing related to the title in the actual song, but the title was created before the lyrics because Jaeh couldn’t help but think of that scene when he heard it.“
It is the first song of their 7″ live EP with 2AMature released by DCxPC Live. An album and show born out from desperation after the start of the pandemic, “but as the saying goes from horrible events, good things grow...“.
“Fuck You Yankee Blue Jeans” is dirty, bulky, sweaty, snarly, tough, rough, cross… Yeah, you get it…
“It’s a mix of hardcore, punk and metal and full of ass kicking since we are out of bubblegum to chew!” – Call In Dead.
