Week 26 2021 Hi y’all here I’m with another round of 9 Albums/EPs you should listen to released all of them recently (if you want you can take a look to our previous week here).
.- Dimwind Slow Wave Violence In their own words: “Our vision is to let the music float effortlessly over adjacent genres to create a unique and intriguing soundscape of mournful melancholy and high energy.” Post Rock / Metal Sweden Gothenburg.
.- Elle Bizarro No Go In her own words: “This EP is about another group of losers. People who are too puffed-up, proud or short-sighted to ‘be realistic’ or see the funny side. I find humour in them obviously, or they wouldn’t make interesting subjects, but I’m still on the side of the ones being laughed-at and not the ones who are laughing” Alternative / Psychedelic Rock UK
.- Alex Lleo Morning Heights “is drenched in earthy tones and reverberant moments, each track giving you the space to think, reflect and reconnect with Alex’s heavy, hazy vocal at the forefront”. Inide Folk / Folk Rock UK
.- Saorsa Call Me Out In her own words: “Theproject really captures a transitional period in my life on the cusp of my mid-20’s, moving cities and changing careers. It’s a scary moment, like diving headfirst into black water.” Indie Pop Australia
.- Distant Harmonies Dancing With The Waves
In their own words: “It’s actually a quite heterogeneous album. We have so many different influences, both musical and non musical, that is hard to categorize it in one style or one idea. We tried to talk about the fear, the loss, the change, about how to keep going. Basically about deep basic human feelings. Metal / Prog Rock Germany
.- The Sunset Still Life In their own words: “We chose the title “Still Life” for the intrinsic ambiguity of its meaning: crystallizing the moment opens the possibility to choose your point of view on the moment you are living: is it “still life” or is there “still life”? This crossroads will always divide listeners, optimists, and pessimists, between the two interpretations”. Alternative Rock / Indie Rock Italy Milan.
.- Kiskadee Home EP In his own words: “ The project began in early 2020 when I was gearing up for a creative trip to Iceland to collect sounds / visuals for this project. Covid hit and I was forced to rethink, instead reaching out to friends + musicians on social media; asking for them to send in voice-notes that reflected their experiences of lockdown and isolation”. Electronic / Downtempo UK
.- Buteo Band Come Down Shining Debut album driven by alternative indie rock and dreamy laid back melodies with strings attached to the California 60’s. Indie Folk / Indie Rock Sweden.
- The Mergers The Apple in the Orange Grove “With this album it seems the boys from Nuremberg have immersed themselves in the British sound of the late 60’s and merged psychedelic freakbeat-sounds with their own, unique and timeless, fresh songwriting.”
