Week 33 2021 Hi y’all here I’m with another round of 9 Albums/EPs you should listen to released all of them recently (if you want you can take a look to our previous week here).
.- At Swim SE18 “Formed from the echoed thoughts, SE18 is an ambient album, hugely immersive and beautifully crafted. A wonderful release to just sink into in the calm rainy evenings. It’s certainly a great album for people to drift into dreamland to, but it being rich with textured soundscapes makes SE18 an enjoyable listen for daydreamers and sound lovers looking for earfondling sonic experiences.” This album is a must. You can read our review here.
.- Gentle, Ghosts How I’ll Break Your Heart “An album that centers on how we are able to self-sabotage our relationships. A story that unfolds gradually but with a clear ending. Made with the heart, “How I’ll Break Your Heart” will make you wonder on all that was and could’ve been, with an indie alt-rock vibe to soothe your senses while at it.” You can read our review here.
.- Mrs Bubles Refracted In her own words: “There are two concepts in this album and the tracklist creates a cohesive storyline for both of these. The first concept is about the grieving process of a situation that really broke me emotionally, and how I’ve been managing that. The other concept is about metaphorically being surrounded by layers of glass.”
.- Salt House Lavish Fraternise Collaborate Talking about the closing track for this outstanding album: “I can imagine this song being in a thriller movie, it sounds luxurious and very much lethal, yet soft and kind of cosmic. Distorted lens into the world of money and sports cars, but the events do not take place on Earth. Curious set of moods meet in this song, and in addition to getting my imagination wild, it’s a pleasure to listen to.” You can read the review here.
.- Resonus Debut Album In their own words “We are a Jazz group that delivers with Rock energy, using different elements and sounds that would be more expected to be used in a rock setting. We also mix funk and some of the flavor that identifies our home Island of Puerto Rico.” You can’t miss this one!!!
- Soul Dolphin Founders Of The Modern World “Have you ever had a dream about one tonal frequency? Like a big fat guitar string of the universe is struck and you’re just surrounded by its sound beam for the entire dream? It’s almost like there’s an interdimentional entity sending you a message in the form of sound waves; letting you know that everything is just a vibration, for now and for the rest of eternity… And that your human life is just a short blip on your long cosmic journey. It’s like that, but an album.”
.- Eighty Eagle Dead Meat “No frills. No gimmicks. No tricks. Just heavy, American rock. Recorded in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Eighty Eagle is a joint effort between Jeremy Lublin (aka Fury of Jeremy & The Harlequins and We Are The Fury) and Steve Dwyer (OnceOver). While the two members grew up playing in different bands out of the Toledo, Ohio music scene, this is their first project together since playing in a band together in junior high school”.
.- Werwe Speed Of Light In his own words “There’s always a story behind the music. I myself have had a long journey and it’s taken me 15 years to get here. This story is my childhood in a record. It was very therapeutic but it’s also some of the best music I’ve made in my opinion. There is something for everyone on this record so feel free to skip around.”
.- Brooklyn Forbes Egoic Illusion In her own words “This is my debut EP, and I am so excited to finally be sharing it. These songs are self-written and self-produced, and they are a very personal and dynamic reflection of what has been on my mind the last 18 months or so. I hope that this project is found by the people whom it resonates with.” You can read our review for her track Curiosity.
Also worth to listen the follow albums Mundane Experience (Blurry Notes), Eden Dawn (Fake Happy), Zelha (What’s the Point?), and last but not least Little Fuss (Hazy) debut EP.
