WYNONA BLEACH – “DRAG”

Drag” is a fantastic gaze-pop tune that will make you feel like your inside your favorite anime opening. Fierce but sweet, a brilliant combination of both elements that results in a very entertaining musical feat. Listen now to Wynona Bleach’s new song: “Drag”.

Well, hello everybody! And welcome. Today, I am very pleased to announce the release of such a fantastic single that seems to have come out of a dream, a very energetic dream. “Drag” by Belfast alt/pop band, Wynona Bleach, will captivate you to your very core.

Don’t let yourself be fooled by the dark appearance of these folks, it turns out their music is quite the opposite. Yes, it is heavy, but with a lot of colors to be seen. A meticulous mix of heavy fuzzy guitars, snapping drums and growling bass with a splash of hazy atmospheres and sweetly spirited vocals. A winning combo, if you ask me.

“Drag” is the opening track for their long-awaited album, due to release via Fierce Panda Records (Placebo, Coldplay, Death Cab For Cutie, etc.) in February 2022, and we can’t wait to hear what these guys have in store for us!

Drag was played hard across multiple tours before it was re-written on the rooftop of the villa in Portugal that we stayed in while recording the album. It’s a song about pushing yourself a little too hard, trying to do too many things at once, and trying to be someone you are not.” – Wynona Bleach

So far the band has done a number of live session appearances on BBC Radio as well as
generating viral, word of mouth airplay through BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Today
FM (Dublin), Amazing Radio (playlisted), KXLU (Los Angeles), 91X (San Diego) and Seattle’s own seminal radio station, KEXP. Yes!!

The have also played at Reading and Leeds Festivals, a televised Belfast Ulster Hall show with SOAK, The Divine Comedy and Therapy? which celebrated 30 years of BBC Introducing NI. They have supported Feeder, The Slow Reader’s Club, Lonely the Brave and their biggest shows to date: being personally invited to support Alice In Chains for their sold-out 1600 capacity venues in May 2019, in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and Belfast’s Telegraph Building. Wow, these guys are going places!

Here is a message from this wonderful band: “We are Wynona bleach, we write loud and fuzzy goth pop love songs with big noisy guitars and drums and we love melodies. Our debut album comes out in 2022 and we hope you stream, share and pre-order a vinyl from our website wynonableach.com if you like it!!
