We’re glad to announce that Middlesbrough, United Kingdom-based indie pop/rock artist Finn Forster has released a new single, entitled “Stay Right Till The End.”
Finn Forster is a singer-songwriter hailing from the coastal industrial town of Middlesbrough, UK, and has been described as the love child of Paolo Nutini and Caleb Followill. With a gifted knack for songwriting, Finn blends atmospheric lead guitar lines intertwined with unforgettable melodies and lyricism, and performs with a presence that demands attention in all the best possible ways.
It’s easy to see how the Teessider has an ever-growing fan base stretching internationally. Alongside a string of successful festival slots and headline dates, Finn has supported an array of established artists since bursting on the scene in February 2019, including most recently UB40 and The Sherlocks while on their recent UK tours. With zero intentions of slowing, more music, live dates and content is underway unlike ever before; as Finn states, “Everything is falling into place since the whirlwind we all endured in 2020, for people just discovering my songs, as well as my fans who’ve witnessed my progression as an artist from the start, it’s without a doubt the most exciting time to date for all of us.” No stranger to media success, Finn Forster has also already been featured twice in BBC Introducing Track of the Week.

After the highly acclaimed releases of recent singles “Lonely Nights” and “Remnants,” Finn Forster has returned with his biggest sounding track to date. “Stay Right Till The End” pairs together electric-, bass- and acoustic guitars with pinpoint precision, almost effortlessly joined by upbeat drums that collectively create an punchy arena-sounding indie rock anthem that inevitably gets the blood flowing and the feet tapping. The cherry on the top comes from Finn’s vocals, tying everything together to ensure all the musicianship that’s gone into the track is taken up a level with smooth and undoubtedly memorable melodies. “This single is Filled with complete honesty and tales of messy nights in my hometown of Middlesbrough. I’m proud of the final product me and my band have produced, it’s a tune we’ve been playing live for a few dates we’ve played this year, and one that a mad amount of spectators from all backgrounds have rushed over to ask about the release date and name of this tune. That’s what has played a big part in this song coming out. For the first time, it’s a single built from the response of fans, that’s special,” says Finn.

Describing the backstory behind “Stay Right Till The End,” Finn writes, “In 2019, after a break up with an ex I had a lot of time for myself, my mates and really throwing myself out there, gigging, partying, really having the time of my life. Although incredibly fun, it wasn’t a sustainable way of living given the amount of time I was spending in bars and amongst night life. Stay Right Till The End I guess is a nod to thoughts times and experiences. I was pretty lost and it wasn’t until I came out the other side of it all that I realised I had to go through it first hand to become the artist I am today. With the help of my band, we produced this track to create a heart racing, blood pumping rock anthem, one that truly replicates those crazy nights when you seem out of control.”
“Stay Right Till The End” begins with a melancholic, strummed acoustic guitar chord progression, before a catchy electric guitar lead and punchy rhythm guitar chords join in along with the driving rhythms of the bass and drums. Finn Forster’s captivating vocal presence highlights the track’s ensuing lyrical passages and anthemic choruses, while a dynamic, soaring guitar solo midway through showcases Finn’s impressive guitar skills. As the final chorus of “Stay Right Till The End” repeats towards the end of the track, an atmospheric, wah-drenched lead guitar melody accompanies the vocals quite nicely and leads into an instrumental section to conclude the track. “Stay Right Till The End” is quite an enjoyable listen throughout, demonstrating Finn Forster’s brilliant songwriting and superb musicianship. I would highly recommend this track to fans of indie- and alternative rock alike.
