Alright guys, I hope you’re ready for today’s single as it is an absolute BLAST! First of all, welcome back, it’s your boy MadZen and today we’ll be reviewing Los Inconformes latest song: RRRatas! A wild, wild musical experience with a top-notch performance and pristine production.
Man, this song will make you sweat if you let it. All the way from San Juan, Puerto Rico, this ska band has honed its skills over the years playing alongside great bands like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Desorden Público, The Toasters, Voodoo Glow Skulls and Mephiskapheles. The own a heavy sound, which can only be described as exciting, fierce, and very dynamic.
In “RRRatas”, there’s no room for catching your breath, it is pure Punk, anthemic attitude from the get go. The intro is very inspiring, and the explosion of the verse will knock you off your feet! Interestingly enough, Los Inconformes gave this track a twist with a ska groove near the end, a rock-steady groove that mimics those smooth rhythms of dub and reggae. What a switch!
Always staying true to their Latin roots, Los Inconformes deliver an outstanding brass section which you can only love. Romantic, aggressive, and fun! Lyrics talk about a corrupt government, and how they steal from their own people. Punk and Ska, Latin American style, baby!
