What’s going on ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! It’s your boy MadZen, and today we have a really good upcoming track for all you 70’s music lovers. Ah, the golden era of guitar bands, how can we forget? One might think that those days are long gone and forgotten by modern bands but today’s artists are making sure that such beloved sound and spirit remains alive.
Tillerman is a band from Leeds, UK who was inspired by the back catalog of their parent’s record collection. Growing up listening to The Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Free, and Fleetwood Mac, these guys deliver a nostalgic sound while also mixing in their affinities for 90’s Rock music.
“Hear Angels Cry” is their brand new, upcoming single after releasing their EP ‘Gathering’, as well as a couple of further singles. This track marks a very different approach to Tillerman’s songwriting, with their previous singles being more melodic and reminiscent of The Beatles or The Beach Boys. This track is a bit more somber, heavily inspired by 70’s Blues Rock, and with lyricism inspired by a constant barrage of bad news and events on the TV: The far left, the extreme right, the publics love of money and fame.
A song that’s carefully executed and filled with wonderful choruses. The real cherries on top are the soulful guitar solo and the amazing finale of wailing guitars singing like a choir. Without a doubt a timeless release and one that should definitely be in your Rock & Roll playlists. So, go ahead and
