I hope you had an amazing time with yourself and your family, and I wish for all of us an amazing 2023. Speaking of amazing, today we have a beautiful single brought to us by one of the UK’s most promising bands. Let’s get to it!
In case you don’t remember or haven’t heard of, The Trusted, they are a group of friends who met each other in high school who bonded over their mutual appreciation of a strong melody and atmospheric, edgy pop. After their previous release ARKANSAS, the band has returned with a whole new track that keeps positioning them as one of the freshest Indie Pop bands out there.
“Terrible Fight” is an anthemic-sounding track, with energies that emulate a mix between Coldplay and The 1975’s. An extremely powerful tune with a high-frequency composition contrasting with serious lyricism. While the song brings us upward with its catchy melodies and ecstatic beat, the lyrics tell a tale of metaphysical defeat.
A neat composition of warm and optimistic sounds blended with what seems an overwhelming, ongoing battle. Without a doubt a pretty interesting track and yet another great release by the Southend-on-Sea natives. So, listen now!
