¡PRE-ORDER NOW! (27/01/23)

What’s going on ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! It’s your boy, MadZen, and today I’m very, very excited for we will prepare for the drop of a super dope Techno track. It’s been a while since we had a Techno review and my god, does it feel good to have a little of electronic aggression in this blog. This IS a track brought to us by a German Techno legend who came back from a creative break, and who you must start following now. Let’s get to it!

XPQ-21 is a German electronic project created by Jeyênne, the mastermind producer and singer from Berlin who is cataloged as one of the greats in the rave and techno scene, with numerous vinyl and CD releases. He toured with Prodigy and Moby, and also deejayed side by side with great artists like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and Ellen Allien. A man who writes, records, sings, and produces his own tracks.

Temptation is deeply rooted in us. As humans, we are constantly confronted with it. Some are strong enough to resist it, most are addicted to it. This track isn’t a warning, it shows us a mirror we can look into if we want to. Sooner or later we will have to face it, whether we want to or not.

Now, after the release of his successful comeback single “Machines“, the producer is back with a brand new Techno track with Minimal affinities. A dark, bouncy, and heavy track that’s all that you’d expect to hear in an authentic German Techno Rave, delivered with a pounding beat, and garnished with distorted vocals and Industrial sounds.

This double single comes with both the original version, as well as the “Korgen Aamat Version”. The latter being a more vocal-heavy expression, carrying deep theatrical melodies as well as haunting lyricism. Reminding us of groups like Combichrist, this mix of electronica with Goth and EBM atmospheres is truly a refreshing and exciting experience, one that we very much welcome this 2023. So, pre-order now!

By the way, this single precedes XPQ-21’s upcoming album and we can’t wait to hear it.
