What’s going on ladies and gentlemen, welcome back! It’s your boy, MadZen, and today I’m actually surprised by the quality of today’s track. It sounds amazing! And it comes with top-notch musical interpretations. Brought to us by this Aussie Alt-Rock band, this track will most definitely ignite something within you after the first chorus. Let’s get to it!
Higgs Field is a 4-piece Alt-Rock / Metal band from Mount Gambier, South Australia. They were actually reviewed not too long ago here in the blog with their single Leader in the eye. They are absolute rockers, and their music is really extraordinary. So you better buckle up.
“Us Forever” by Higgs Field is a single based on a true story. A cannibal serial killer who hunted for his “romantic” victims in order to “join” with them in the most explicit sense of the word. Which means he literally ate her heart out. Now, it is easy to be deceived by the uplifting nature and exciting groove of this track, which might present it as a romantic novel, but it quickly turns into a true Stephen King story!
What stands out more about this track is its explosive choruses. Man, when it hits, you can’t help but stand there with your mouth open. And the best thing is: they keep getting better! The vocals are also outstanding, with a huge dynamic range and fierce attitude which becomes even more aggressive by the end. There’s also a shredding guitar solo, played to perfection. It is pretty darn cool.
This is Higgs Field’s first release of the year, a year that promises a great deal of outstanding music.
