DUO DECAD introduces their newest single “A Little Bit of Love”. The longing and the hopeful song follow a person stuck in a seemingly single-sided affair. Being madly in love with someone to the point it really hurts, “A Little Bit of Love” is all they’re asking from that special person.

The plea comes in the form of an indietronic track featuring a memorably blasting chorus, heavily reverberant vocals that are burning for love, and a splendid flowing atmosphere home to aching feelings and unanswered desire. Spinning from nostalgia-infused synth lines and synth-pop percussion, the song’s yearning core is further shaped by moody guitar riffs and smoky hazy layered vocals. The plea for love reciprocated had a soft and quiet beginning but has grown into an explosive exclamation with heavy stomping beats and guitars living out all of the frustration.
The spiraling emotions are given a strong visual in the single’s music video, which takes us to a party. An event where everyone is dancing in revealing outfits and emotionally reserved expressions is where the song’s character hopes to spot the special someone. The Dublin-Chicago band DUO DECAD is a truly international band that has so far never made music in the same room. Inspired by artists like The Notwist, Frightened Rabbit, and Sparklehorse, the band makes moody and emotionally charged electronic indie music with elements gathered from multiple genres. Behind the name are vocalist and producer Emmet McCaughey and vocalist-guitarist Mark Casey, as well as the honorary member and mix-engineer Andy Gallas, who’s based in North Carolina.
“A Little bit of Love” is released on June 16th.
