The mysterious London-based entity Frank Joshua has made his name with ethereal spacious electronica combined with aching soul lyricism carried by his soothing vocals. The producer remains faceless and lets the music paint his entire world instead, and he’s endlessly inspired by the hard-to-grasp and fleeting moments of life. Be it the early morning silence or the intensity of emotions, Frank sings of them with pretty much-unmatched eloquence.
In “Wonderful You”, Frank has tackled the vast emptiness of a shadowed, shattering heart. The haunted echoing atmosphere is home to an intense wash of sorrow, longing, and aching. The seemingly eternal cold sadness is turned beautiful by the song’s soulful piano, the tender vocals speaking of the heartbreak with a bit of mystifying tone, and the flowing intensity of the song’s composition.
The song is also accompanied by its music video, which gives the whole emotional baggage a windy cool ocean-side visual. Breaking ocean waves, breezy cool winds, beautiful yet very distant spaces, and people and deep waters give the song an additional dose of chilled mood. Heartbreak has the capability of severely messing the person up, and “Wonderful You” shows the beauty in the bleeding, cold and damned state of mind.
