Nashville music veteran Garland Kelley raises deep questions in “Mortal”, the title track of Kelley’s upcoming EP, which delivers soothing melodies in a slow-paced beat and an optimistic atmosphere.

The Nashville musician continues to deliver new emotions with a very unique and personal message. Written in a minimalistic manner, Kelley’s new single feels like a soft ride under the warm sun. A track about the temporal and futile nature of human existence.
With his debut EP, “Mortal”, on the way, the American songwriter is letting us know what we can expect from the release. A very appealing sound and sensitive lyricism. In this track, Kelley presents a heavy subject matter with graceful melodies and eerie yet comfortable lyricism.
A mix between melancholy and comfort, “Mortal” digs deep into human existence and emotion. Its warm guitar melodies and almost hidden drums give the track a strange feeling of being inside a dream, without knowing you’re either awake or asleep. There’s also a guitar solo which makes us think of timeless guitar heroes like David Gilmour or John Mayer.
Garland continues to perform live and pursue his place as an original artist in his hometown music scene, and beyond. Not much left until the EP drops, in the meantime…
