“Runaway is my favorite song I’ve written,” she mentions. “It’s really tested who I am artistically and personally while I bleed on the page and show my vulnerable side. I wrote this song in 25 minutes and it makes me so proud to listen back. I know the dedication to this record shows through, and I’m excited to see how the public receives it.”
“I wrote this song when I was dwelling on my past mistakes,” KatyRuth begins. “So I started to scroll through instagram to distract myself, that’s when I saw a meme that read, “Remember that guy you never that you get over.” And that’s when I instantly thought of the person who broke my heart into a million little pieces. That’s when I remembered the person that had me so depressed, I had to go to therapy. And for the first time in a long time, I smiled because I honestly hadn’t thought of that person in forever.
