LT1KF UBS ROUND-UP BRAND NEW GEMS FOR YOU WEEK 15

Hey, this is your round-up for #LT1KF, Unknown But Essentials! or UBS, and this time I have for you these five acts that you should check out right away!

BLUE ORCHID REACTION “Atmosphere”. Released April 10th.

Warning alert! This is an earworm, I just can’t stop listening, love the whole thing. “Atmosphere represents what the band is all about melody, poetic lyrics, musical depth, and a playful approach to arrangements” Matt guitar player of the band about the single.

“We have a punk DIY ethos but we do want our songs to sound as complete as we possibly can. We give equal attention to backing vocals as we do to adding depth to the instruments.”

WD-HAN “Good Man”. Released April 07th

Swimming upstream, this previously FL-based band moved to LA in 2022. With sweet, gritty vocals, soulful guitar, and hard-hitting drums WD-HAN has shared the stage with acts like Paramore, Walk the Moon, Silversun Pickups, and Kaleo as well as touring to Asia three times.

People are amazing. They are a great deal better, more capable, and good than they realize. Good Man is for anyone who’s ever wondered if they were good, and by so doing proven it to be true.” – Spencer Barnes, Lead Singer

MEGHAN PULLES “father, oh father”. Released April 14th.

Meghan Pulles is an indie-Americana singer-songwriter based out of Nashville, TN. This is the lead single for her upcoming album called “ear baby” to be released later this year, in her own words:

“This song is about being on your knees in your weakest moment and realizing that there is something bigger than you could ever know that might be able to show you the light, and it’s about feeling helpless and alone when life is nothing but suffering, and wondering if anyone is actually listening to you.”

ALTA FALLS “Tried to Forget About”. Released April 14th.

The Brisbane-based electro-pop duo, Alta Falls, is taking you on a trip down memory lane with their nostalgic and energetic new single, ‘Tried To Forget About’. The tune melds a danceable shuffle beat, vintage synths, and emotive lyrics. It’s all punctuated with silky smooth harmonies that feel like verses from a ballad, artfully injected into an 80s synth dream.

The song tells the story of Nathanael’s childhood friend. They used to ride their pushbikes around the Western suburbs of Brisbane and write songs together.
