We have the latest reimaging by PATH_LESS with German alt-prog rock duo MADAME NEPTUNE’s song He Rises. The band consists of vocalist Liss Eulenherz and guitarist Danny Golebiewski. This is a fascinating thematic narrative musical project centered around the figure of the demon Urok. Here we get to see a djentier, metalcore-based sound with touches of post-rock and post-hardcore.

The group normally blends psychedelic, modern, hard, and blues rock to give a fresh alternative gothic rock. This is a reimagined modern alt-prog rock/metal version of their debut single arranged by PATH:LESS. And undoubtedly the results are awesome. At the same time, the fundamentally great songwriting core of the original song by MADAME NEPTUNE translates so well in this fresh arrangement.
The song begins with some choral vocal harmonies and soon we descend into some djenty heavy guitar riffs and a modern metal drum groove. It combines a progressive and alternative rock and metal sound. We also get to hear some well-balanced growls. The verses pull back the energy to craft some stunning songwriting combined with modern neon prog metal power.
The riffs while heavy, and the production is pristine making the overall sound easy on the ears but the heaviness enjoyable. The song ends on an insane headbanging breakdown with an insane drum groove and power riffing. The synth-ambient electronic production blends very well with the heavier drums and guitars. Overall a great prog metal song. With this track, MADAME NEPTUNE attempts a fresh sound that will get you headbanging and grooving.
