I’m here for the long haul, committed to creating a lasting impact through my art.”

The Silent Era “Heaven/Hell” Released January 15th.
‘Heaven//Hell’ by The Silent Era is a dark and atmospheric track about the struggle to discern good from evil, and the process of healing from betrayal and abuse. Talking about the backstory for this track the band shared with us the following:
“Well.. I’ve kind of crafted the exsisting info around this track to be somewhat mysterious because I’m still ashamed of my experiences of being bullied. Without going into specifics… It’s taken me a very long time to get over certain instances of it in my youth, but writing lyrics like these and having a supportive and hilarious bunch of friends and collaborators has been a real cathartic journey for me. So, I hope that’s not too vague!”
ORDER “HEAVEN//HEL” ON BANDCAMP NOW!
“Expect a mixed bag of Industrial Rock, Gothic Rock, Shoegaze and Post-Punk in various degrees across our tracks – our next release (after this one) is a bit Stoner, too! We love rehearsing, writing and hanging out + gigging and putting on an atmospheric show with visuals etc. Ultimately, we’re a fuzzy alt.rock band with a front-woman and we’re multinationals living in London.”

“It’s one of these songs you think about beforehand, instead of experimenting and get somewhere somehow. The initial intention was more like ‘oh let’s do something catchy, energetic but with an industrial vibe’ with a structure that would start as a very industrial feel, kind of mechanical and gradually make it feel groovier, more human throughout the whole song, hence the last part with the solos (human wins against AI in this scenario, at least musically).
As for the sound, besides the obvious use of fuzz pedals on guitars and bass, there’s a few subtle elements that contribute to the general vibe such as the use of a Bass VI to double the bass in some parts, synths playing under the guitar riffs, a couple of percussion loops and also, keg hits doubling the snare drum.
A few songs that possibly inspired the instrumental:
– NIN – Less than
– The Smashing Pumpkins – The everlasting gaze
– A Place to Bury Strangers – End of the night
– Ministry – We believe
– The Jesus and Mary Chain – Blues from a gunIndustrial rock for the masses”

“I’ve always been captivated by dystopian societal concepts portrayed in literature and media, spanning from classics like ‘1984’ and ‘Brave New World’ to the works of influential authors such as Margaret Atwood and Philip K. Dick. This fascination motivated me to create a track that, to my perception, reflects the atmospheric essence depicted in these narratives.”

“‘Put Up A Bet’ is lyrical, emotional, smooth, and powerfully suggestive of life and love. Love requires risk, and it’s the only thing we truly know. Music is the whole universe. We just need to listen in.

Fiona Amaka “Standing Right Beside You” Released December 15th.
Standing Right Beside you is a raw, pared-down folk rock tune, which talks about about the pain of knowing that your partner has their mind on a vision of perfection that isn’t real, and they’re always comparing you to it. The song draws you into the singer’s emotions. Check out the guitar solo at the bridge!
“My new listeners can expect stories of love and hope, stories of how the thoughts and dreams running around in our minds play out in real life!”

“The song was written in London and it speaks about how difficult and frustrating it is to compete with the fantasies of the person you love- especially in an age where social media and images on websites are affecting expectations of what love and closeness really means. It can be be a real downer!”

Arn-Identified Flying Objects And Alien Friends “Summer Kisses, Winter Tears” Released May 12th
Once again our dear friend Arne Floryd is back with another single part of his album “No Sweets For E.” In his own words:
“Summer Kisses, Winter Tears, a lesser-known Elvis-tune, was originally recorded 1960 for the flick Flaming Star (in which it wasn’t used). I’ve always loved the tune and decided to record it for my second album NO SWEETS FOR E. Of course, you can’t compare with the King, but I recorded it anyway.”
