The café of newfound hope, written in a beautiful and caressing acoustic indie songwriter format, brings forth the menu of comfort foods and a chance to recharge yourself. Warm, cozy and surrounded by familiar comfortable things, the song is keeping things simple with vocals singing thoughtful, poetic lyrics, and the acoustic guitar providing a backdrop that eases the weary mind. This is the fourth single coming from Annika Jayne’s upcoming full-length record. Like the single itself, there is a lot of comfort to be found in the record as well, also reflected in its whimsical title “Cats and Coffee Cups”. Those two are just a selection from an array of comfort-bringing things – the artist also loves books, record and wine, but cats and coffee were the most abundant ones around during the making of this album.
