“Here I Am is a song about relationships, specifically the nature of long-term relationships and simply “being there” to support each other as years roll by. It’s unashamedly upbeat in its outlook, focusing on the positives of life.”
Old friends “having yourself a day” released may 21st
Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Southern New Jersey (it’s no Asbury Park but there are some gems!), Old Friends are a dynamic rock band that has been captivating audiences with their electrifying performances and distinctive sound. Known for their honest lyrics, powerful melodies, and infectious energy, the band has quickly risen to prominence, earning a devoted following across the region.
“This song was written by me in 2020 and started off as a one-minute punk adjacent demo. Last year, I started playing with my current drummer and bassist (Luke & Aaron) and we worked through the song as a whole until we were happy with it. Aaron had suggested the bridge part to let the song breathe, and Luke had suggested we do a half time beat at the end to open it up/ bring out some new energy. Without them, the song wouldn’t be what it is.” Nick Noto / Old Friends
order “have yourself a day” ON bandcamp NOW!
First time listeners: “The message I would like them to know is that we’re all truly friends and we love hanging with each other/ making music together. There’s a ton of themes of friendship in our songs, whether it be me naming actual friens I grew up with, or lyrics about losing friends over time; the main theme of Old Friends is friendship and the experiences we have within these relationships of those closest to us. I just hope it comes across that way when people take it in and that people can resonante with the songs.” Nick Noto / Old Friends
MIKHAELIZE “Elle était l’océan” released may 09th
“In a world where music is a universal language, a fiery poem, originally intended for the artist’s muse, comes to life in a captivating new form: a dub reggae song. This artistic fusion, promises to shake the senses and set the dance floors ablaze this summer.”

On the contrary, it aims to conquer the hearts and minds of everyone, even those who have never explored the haunting depths of this musical genre. With its infectious energy and haunting melody, this song aspires to be embraced by a wide range of listeners, transcending boundaries and musical preferences.”
casual americans “cowards” released March 22nd
Formed in Athens, Georgia, by Justin Reynolds (Vocals/Guitar), Chris Matthis (Drums), Kyle Deloach (Guitar/Keys), Daniel Ard (Bass), and Ben Butler (Guitar), Casual Americans is a collection of guys who have played music professionally for well over a decade. The band represents the kind of indie rock indebted to the ’90s and ’00s with an updated feel that they wished they heard more of today.
“It started as a songwriting exercise. The goal was to take a simple progression using only three chords and make it as interesting as possible without deviating from that progression. I was trying to make the melody and dynamics as interesting as possible without making it so complex that I’d lose people. It’s a simple song structurally, but there’s a lot of “ear candy” in the mix to reward repeat listens.” Justin Reynolds /Casual Americans

“Lyrically, the song is largely about the corrosive nature of power and how it breeds apathy in those who have it. The song, and much of the album as a whole, was written around the time of the COVID pandemic during the more intense lockdown era, so the songs became an outlet for a lot of the confusion, fear, and anxiety I was experiencing around that time as well as general frustration with what seemed like absolute chaos in terms of the information and leadership (or lack thereof) from those in positions power at that time.” Casual Americans
“What’s interesting is that as the lyrics were developing I started to see more of myself in the character I was writing about, which is a bit alarming, but caused me to seriously consider how I use power and privilege in my own life. One of the lines, “I might be a coward”, rang a little more true for me than I wanted it to, but it’s cool when the art you’re making causes self-reflection like that. I might still be a coward, but hopefully, I’m less of one than I was when I wrote the song!” Justin Reynolds
“First-time listeners can expect high-quality indie rock with deep roots in music from the 60’s and 70’s. I’d like to think that we offer something for everyone. There are a lot of guitars, but plenty of keyboards, synths, and layered background harmonies to keep things interesting. I’m not sure who we sound like, but our influences include Beck, Spoon, The Beatles, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Vampire Weekend, Arctic Monkeys, and maybe even some 90’s rock like Nirvana and Foo Fighters.” Casual Americans
captain b. hindert “pizza funghi” released april 06 2020.
These are two guys from Switzerland just having fun, the producer that makes the sound and guy who writes the lyrics. And this is their most streamed track to date with almost 20K streams on Spotify only.
“So, we sat in the studio and just started producing and then the melody came about, we drank 1 or 2 beers and then the lyrics came about 🙂
We wanted to make it simple, create a situation that some people have already experienced, of course we exaggerated a bit.”

“What can be expected for the German audience is a funny story and awesome drops and for everyone else a great melody, some nice drop build-up and awesome kicks”. Captain B. Hindert
