Starting with title track “Scream” feat. Monde, Love Ghost introduced us to a Punk-like intro which immediately turns into a hard Trap beat. Unexpected and welcomed! I’ve gotta say, lyrically I’m not very sure what the song is about, it sometimes comes with the usual “emo trap” eloquence: party, darkness, and anger, but it also turns into something a bit more political?… Anyways, the drums are solid, and it for sure is an exciting start to the EP.
Second track “Throw Down” is much less extreme that its predecessor. It in fact falls more over the Pop Rock category. Clean vocals, four on the floor drums, and the collaboration of artists Adhara, and Helian Evans. Pretty nice, not something you would expect from such an EP, but a nice second track nevertheless.
Third track “RAGE”, produced by 3Angel, picks up the violence and the aggression of the first track. It’s a more Electronic Metal-style, with hard, screaming vocals on the background and some pretty cool demon like growls. A hard kick, a nice riff, and violent vocals. Pretty much all you need!
“Daydream”, is more of an anti-romantic track. Emotional, but still mildly aggressive. Hard knocking 808’s, and cool guitar riffs on the background. Tender, and sad. It comes with the collaboration of La Sinclair, but I have to point out that her vocals sound pretty far away in the mix and they lack the presence they deserve, falling short in the battle against the instrumental. But still, a pretty solid fourth-track!
Final track “ROCKSTAR LIFESTYLE” feat. El Verumcito is probably the nicest sounding track and the most “commercial”. It’s like Blur had gone through an emo phase and released this song. Lyrics are pretty well-thought, as the flow seamlessly and with sense. The only thing I find is that the chorus sounds too mono, I would’ve loved for it to sound as huge as it could be, with hard panned guitars, background vocals, and even some gang chants in between lines. Anyways, it is a very enjoyable track and a perfect closure for the EP!
