What’s part of this exciting realm at the edge, is Genevieve Sovereign’s soft, but highly potent voice guiding us through the shapeshifting landscape. Her lyricism is as striking as the percussion of the tune, with both the usual drums and the bassline offering their share in the rhythmically rich atmosphere. Jabs reminiscent of woodwind, and shimmery melodies emit shining specks of light in the moody space of strangeness, where sudden clattering sounds make it feel like you’re in a jungle and just got startled by a bird.

There is hardly anything that could be comparably similar to what Genevieve Sovereign has crafted here. This experimental electronic artist from Australia has been busy creating highly captivating electronic music with a strong desire for deep explorations. At the same time, she manages to stay welcoming even for those not usually listening to experimental sort of music, without ever losing that shine given by explorative journeys into the unknown.
This single will be part of Sovereign’s upcoming, in-progress LP “STARSEEDS WANTED: enquire within”. Potentially one of the most intriguing titles for an album out there, that’s gonna capture curiosity on its own already.
