November has begun, one of the darkest, most depressing months in northern hemisphere. The same month has also begun with a brand-new single from Catherine Grace, who has taken it upon herself to remind, that the seemingly eternal darkness will pass eventually. This is “Darkest Before the Dawn”, an emotional heart-to-heart ballad that brings a glimmer of hope into the darkest moments life can have.

The single starts off with an acoustic core with guitar playing a misty, somber melody. While the visual of dark times is built up, Catherine’s emotive vocals join to sing poetic lyrics addressing how life can destroy us sometimes but emphasizes it’s not forever. Her caressing voice speaks of the importance of supporting one another, for we’re stronger together.
While the lyrics give an almost physically sensed feeling of what it’s like to leave the dark behind, the same notion is supported by the song’s instrumental side. Percussion and strings join in to bring in a more elevated, cinematic feel, while the vocals plead to hold on and keep moving forward despite all troubles. Only when we keep moving, will things change.

Catherine Grace, the Ohioan singer-songwriter, creates highly emotional music meant to deliver a deep message while also providing an enthralling listening experience. Catherine has written a slew of music with friend and producer Mark Dwane, including the recently released “Silent Armageddon” and this very single. Best described as cinematic and impactful, Catherine Grace continues to release healing sounds for the weary minds out there.
