Co-created with fellow producer Tony White, the evocative single explores hidden dark alleyways within us through a blend of dark pop and dream pop, joined with elements of electronica. There’s a sound of nostalgia in minute whooshing synth sounds and the sparse melody played by piano, while Frank’s signature poignant voice breathes a personal meaning into the traditional Irish song often heard at funerals.
It wasn’t a funeral where Frank Joshua heard the folk tune, but a job at an Irish bar. He often heard it sung by local lads at the end of the day, and its deep and longing lyrics resonated deeply in the younger artist. Frank’s own introspective exploration into the depths of the folk tune see him wonder about the motives of Danny, the ethereal boy walking into his dreams.

This song marks a 40th release from Frank Joshua in just 4 years. In addition to being the darkest and most personal to date, it’s also one of the most introspective songs in his discography.
