On December 13th, Belgian singer-songwriter Diego Philips is going to unveil his new body of work, an EP with a dreamy title “I Want to Laugh Until I Cry”. It’s a highly personal release, which sees the artist stripping away all extra layers until what’s left is the raw core populated by his vocals and emotional soundscapes forming a quiet triumph.

“I Want to Laugh Until I Cry” houses 5 songs under its roof, which feature gently formed instrumentals including acoustic guitar, piano melodies and cello performed by Shizuku Tatsuno. Silence is used as an instrument, giving space and weight to the emotional vocals of Diego, and the instruments he’s singing with.
