Frank Joshua returns to start off 2025 with a fresh single “Walls”, a blues-tinted song navigating the often difficult landscape of growing older and handling the ego in long-term relationships. None of this feels easy or comfortable, and yet the constant inner struggles are contrasted by the warm presence of the loved one.

A slow waltzing beat and moody reverbing guitar notes fill up the space with tentative feelings of living in a relationship. It’s a space of shared things and lives, a place where the ego is caged up and full of rage. Frank’s vocals explore those feelings through poetic notes in melancholy. Between the notes, there’s a tug of war between the warmth of love and the wild independence ego wants to claim.
There are two versions of “Walls” available – a radio version for the busybody with not much time and attention, and the longer version telling the whole story in nuanceful detail. It is recommended to fully indulge in the long single and let the uneasy yet captivating atmosphere look deeper into the contrasting emotions humankind seems to be cursed with.
