The story of friendship starts with a mellow acoustic guitar and laid-back percussion. A soft-spoken gentle voice joins in to reminisce on the things done in the past with newfound friends from the street of Waterloo, performing together and going through life events, still together. Many happy memories have been woven into the song to give it the charming memory capsule form.
“The Boys from Waterloo” was recorded in the intimate atmosphere of The Rotor Delta’s home studio. The single’s core started forming as the artist came over old photographs, which brought back memories and stories he had already forgotten a while ago. 35 years of stories and many great friendships still going strong today, and the song is full of love and gratefulness for the friends in his life.
Warm nostalgia is also embedded in the song’s music video featuring various glimpses of memories – photographs picturing old performances and happy faces of friends, and animated clips of the artist singing. Distorted signal effects reflect the hazy past memories, but many still return clear as a day.
