on April 25th, Replenished Sky has dropped the newest result from his quest of musical explorations. This one’s called “Lover By The Bay” and is a single standing as an anthemic dance track combining the weightless feeling of romance and the energizing boldness of rave beats.
It’s beginning lies in a seaside place, where sunshine and gentle salty breeze paints the air with infectious vibrancy recreated by elevated synths. Among this, the artist’s vocals soar straight towards the skies as he sings about the feelings bubbling inside – the eternal state of high spirits as he thinks about his sweet lover by the bay.
And then, a change comes on as the vocals fade into a now darker space. Now, a four on the floor beat takes over and brings with it a simple synth line to dive on into an energizing dancefloor filled with laser lights and light-headedness. The rhythm keeps building itself, experimenting and expanding on itself with new elements. At the base of this all, the melody line sings its familiar tune of a lover waiting in a summery bay.
Replenished Sky is a singer-songwriter and electronic music producer who writes music in his office-studio in Brisbane, Australia. He has a strong DIY approach and a passion for exploring what’s possible in music. “Lover By the Bay” was born after the artist had heard music emphasizing rhythmic variation and sparse melodies, and the dancefloor-ready single has snugly recreated these features in its own flavour.
