“You Know Want” embodies the spirit of the legendary Beastie Boys. It channels frustration through fierce lyricism, like a snakebite gradually releasing its venom. This track serves as a powerful catharsis from delusion; within its anger, one discovers a somewhat sense of resolution.
Recorded in Manchester at DeadBasic Studios, with no metronome and with limited processing, the single comes with a natural, “live” studio recording feel. Recording engineer Lewis Brookes did a great job at capturing the band’s substantial energy, and by Ben Pike (RareTone Mastering, Leeds) added the final touches to create this beast of a track.
