From the Oxfordshire countryside where Arrows of the Sun play and record music, a new song has arrived to tell a tale of sad nostalgia. Named “You and Me and the Trauma”, it strolls through the memories of lost love, a huge fight and the effects it has left on both the me-character and then-partner.

Love, the desired and yet so unpredictable, runs deep in the scars present in this indie folk tune. A cool atmosphere much like an early morning greeting the bruised and battered souls questioning themselves, sets a stage for a melancholic voice looking back on past events and what could have been done differently. A fight in place where love should’ve been has left two losers licking their wounds and loss of trust.

Just a little bit sadder just a little bit colder”
Scars of the past paint the present another layer of blue, and the soft guitar melodies twirling in the background represent the unstoppable world around us. Mistakes and fights, as well as love keeps shaping us, and things of the past can’t be undone. So, the nostalgia of love and the bitter end of it remains as a shadow following in the day today, through the folky acoustic soundscapes of the countryside.
