Originally created by Fine Young Cannibals, the song “She Drives Me Crazy” is one of the most cherished favourites for Kat, and her rendition of the song “He Drives Me Crazy” sees her explore the song and its message in intimate detail, building a whole different realm out of it.

Kat brings forth three versions of the reimagined song – a soft and haunting original cover, a video with slightly more percussion added in the mix, and an instrumental version to allow listeners to get lost in the atmosphere of romance. While the original pulses with high energy classic pop rock sound, Kat’s spacious, minimalistic rendition dives deep into the lush and intricate realm home for love along with its sister emotions.

A stripped-back nature welcomes to pay attention to the little happenings. In its laid-back and calm atmosphere, bongos play a quiet rhythm, and along with the echoing melodies created from vocals, a spiritual plane is achieved. Kat’s hypnotic voice joins in to lead the listener on a journey through love and infatuation. That feeling we get when a special someone is all we can think about. It’s dreamy, slightly mysterious, and full of energy in a whole different sense – it’s a hypnotic song of love and passion.
In the music video version, more percussive sounds join the atmosphere, as the video matches the song’s slowly evolving rhythm. Featuring Kat Kikta performing dancemoves while barefoot by water, the hypnotic nature of the song is well-translated by the imagery – the sunny blue skies, floating on calm waters, a dress covered in shiny sequins and embracing the sunlight.
