The track immediately hits with moody, dark RNB flavored soundscape initially dominated by gritty strings playing an ominous bassline. A room with red seats is revealed, along with the large white screen – the stage in which the wildest unimaginable scenarios become reality. This particular room invites to come experience the world of Lexi Lemonade about to be shown on big screen.
Echoing voices, foley sounds and a beat that unites the sensibilities of trip-hop and RNB set the stage for a potent, sensual and action-packed events. Spoken word pitch-shifted down, found sounds from pouring liquids to the noises of a crowd, and an atmosphere full of anticipation create a vivid image of a film director’s dream – a packed hall ready for their movie.
The demo for this song was born 5 years ago in Lexi’s bedroom and creating the song pushed the artist out of comfort zone, especially when it came to recording her own vocals. Despite all doubts and a learning curve that came with trying out something completely new, the song came out ready to pull the crowd in. Cinema directors cut, mixed, and mastered by John Burke at Vibe Studios! The recording engineer was David at DLM studios.
