Rye Catchers’ newest song “Out Of Time” reflects what it’s like for a young soul to live in the world as we know it today. Driven by determination and youthful energy, followed by the looming feeling of running out of time, the song depicts with clear imagery the life of a young adult carving an own path through life and standing against societal pressures dictating every point of living.
A bright soul sets off in the song’s vibrant electropop atmosphere, holding a positive outlook even despite adversaries set by society and its need to control every individual’s life. Lyrics of honesty speak of a life of constant hurry, while pulling the reins back into her own hands. There is barely any time to enjoy and to be present, as it’s a nirvana only the successful are supposed to reach. But amidst the rush, “Out Of Time” finds the real truth.
As the energizing synth jabs dictate the song’s course towards the sought after peace, charmer vocals fly through the speed-hungry society at an own pace. Celebrating one’s own small wins and achievements, overshadowed by the relentless need to hurry, becomes a must to keep sane, yet feels like you’re wasting time. But.. what lies ahead when time runs out?
Rye Catchers, aka songwriter and producer David McClintick Roberts, brings together an array of vocal and instrumental talents with genre-defying releases. For “Out Of Time”, Nikki Simmons provided her dazzling vocals, and the captivating guitar work was done by Niels van der Steenhoven. This song will also be joining other newly released songs in the soon-arriving fourth album “Dead Cool”.
