Consequential, electronic music producer hailing from UK, has been making his name with infectious bass music and liquid breaks. His newest release, a single called “Cravin’” marks a new chapter in the artist’s life, as it’s a debut release on a New Zealand music label WoodysWorldRecords, which shares the love and insatiable drive for making music.
“Cravin’” is a proper liquid funk track with the ability to transport the listener into an alternate reality driven by clean breaks and airy, atmospheric synths. Its irresistible flow is speedy, much like driving along the highway during the night, and it is accentuated by fast vocal samples and swift beat. It’s designed to make you feel elevated and ready to embark on a nightly adventure, and it also keeps great company during mundane tasks like doing laundry or working on yet another spreadsheet.
There’s a connection to the real world in the song as well, as it features samples recorded from places around the artist, which have then skillfully been turned into elements of the steadily flowing track. One of the most notable samples was the sound of the artist’s dog catching a tennis ball.
Consequential has found a new home in the form of a record label in New Zealand, and its founders, MC Woody and Wildstorm, reached a helping hand in releasing the new single. Its roster is full of like-minded artists with love for music and making music.
