Call him a vagabond, call him a free soul or one living life on the easy setting, The Muster Point Project’s new single “Greener Grass” is about a person like this. But despite his best efforts at avoiding facing the consequences of his actions, the man is slowly running out of energy to chase those greener lands to move to.

The story of a man losing out in life comes wrapped in soft americana flavored acoustic sound. The bright melodies of mandolin reflect sunlight and the inviting horizon, while the electric guitar gives a hint of slowly getting worn out. The man, described to have a Midas Touch, but of shit instead of gold, is slowly beginning to realize that this way of life has not brought him anywhere good.
Old habits die hard, though, and the horizon still calls as loud as ever when life throws problems. The reflective lyrics are honest about the feeling of being cursed with poor choices and a perpetual need to run. Heavy feelings hidden in charming, bright music is the way he has been going, but even the most positive songs in his selection of CDs are not enough to shoo away the feeling of being a failure.
During the creation of the song, Kevin Franco of The Muster Point Project imagined the life of a person doing their best at avoiding handling difficult decisions in life and constantly starting anew elsewhere. The multi-talented musician played all instruments and did the vocals, while Montreal drummer Marcelo Effori provided the percussion.
The Muster Point Project maintains the high standard of reflective storyteller music, singing of life as it is —a blessing and a curse in an endless array of variations. No matter what troubles are present in life, TMPP is here to stay, offering an eclectic mix of ear-caressing music to keep a great company.
