The country of freedom has become a country of oppression. Michellar, a Californian artist herself, has created a song titled “Truth Over Lies”, a protest song urging people to come together and show unity and love for each other, and stand against the lies and chaos spread by the government, and the repression in society.

Like a light emerging from dark smoky clouds, “Truth Over Lies” begins with a notion of finding that inner power to stand out. With a voice reaching far and wide provided by singer Frankie El, the thoughts on that mess and the desire for truth are arranged to be an awakening call. As the song grows in intensity, it becomes a powerful embodiment of courage, as it broadcasts the need for standing strong in unity and making our voices heard.

The single was born out of collaboration between Michellar, Michael Levine, and Matthias Schmidt during their stay at a songwriting camp in Idylwind, California. Lyrics emphasizing the need for unity and asking for the truth in times of endless lies were co-written with Michael, and the melody, taking inspiration from legends of infectious grooves like Coldplay and U2, was co-written with Matthias.
“Truth Over Lies” emphasizes the strength in unity. One person can’t do much on their own, but they can find the inner strength and willpower to speak up against the oppressive forces, and find like-minded people while doing so. The truth will prevail!
Michellar continues with her passion for making music, which resonates with listeners and spreads vital messages aiming for a better future. The Californian creative collaborates with talented people worldwide in doing so, and there’s already quite a few projects in the works with various collaborators, most of which would see their light next year.
