Experiences shape up a personal glass shield as a means to protect the person from harm in the future, when similar things happen. But as the song dives deeper into the story, the protective nature is not always with good results. Frank’s signature haunting, slow-paced vocals explore how confidence from the glass shield can turn people cold and careless, the protective layer becoming a dividing barrier.
Maturity in its true sense might be the only thing that can bring down this foolishly strong glass. Within the vast echoing atmosphere with a proper nocturnal feeling, maturity comes in the hands of introspection. Staying far away from the distracting noise, the deeper layers of us are revealed and with it, the effects of the glass shield.
In the comfortable dark, it’s mostly the negative features that stand out – coldness, unkindness, too much confidence. The echoing quietness in this release brings down that self-created facade and forces us to rethink whether the things we believe we see through glass are the truth. Uncomfortable, but a must for anyone wanting to grow as a human person.
