Astounding San Francisco-based singer, songwriter and all-round artist Michelle Bond is about to take another swing with upcoming single “Like a Top” from solo projet Michellar. “Like a Top” finds Michelle diving towards a ballad-ish soft pop with jazz inclinations, proving yet again that she can do anything. On her upcoming single Michellar explores the intrinsic tension between resilience and struggle, offering an incredibly personal point of view. The track gets more and more vulnerable with each lyric, as Michelle tries her best to remind the listener that even in the direst of times, things can be turned around with relentless optimism – even if motivated by sheer petulance.

The track was built around an atmosphere crafted by long-time collaborator Santi, with melodies and lyrics written by Michelle herself. “Like a Top” unfolds in familiar but intriguing ways, always providing a thoughtful insight or tought-provoking verse like it’s the most natural thing in the world. “This song reflects how I see life – full of unexpected twists, challenges, and moments that test us. We all experience things that pull us down, but it’s how we respond that defines us,” the artist herself comments.
