A track built around conficting feelings of attraction in our modern world, “Intertwine” talks about how our ever-present online presence and social media keep us from truly connecting with other human beings without ever judging anyone for it. The track raises questions about how we can break free from those molds and live in the monent, alongside someone else and allowing us to experience everything that said encounter can provide.
It’s more of a reflexive track than it might initially seem, and that’s just the genius behind Kane’s lyricism and production. On “Intertwine” he adds interesting electronic textures that feel refreshing and hypnotic, fully leaning into the psychedelic and euphoric aspects of a late-night connection. The track’s official video explores the human aspects of the dancefloor through glitchy effects and a deeply vulnerable delivery that instantly makes “Intertwine” one of the most intriguing tracks he’s ever released.

What is truly remarkable about “Intertwine”, however, is the fact that even though he’s talking about serious concerns the song retains a playful and flirtatious atmosphere all throughout. It evokes a very physical response as it goes deeper into sensuality, desire and just plain fun with razor-sharp focus. The New Citizen Kane’s upcoming record might be his best yet, as he sounds like someone who truly understands what he wants his music’s message to be – and how to spread that with equal parts of vulnerability and joy.
