On “I’m Your History” Mostafa explores a narrative of foretold betrayal over abrasive percussions and intense production. The track borrows elements from disco, funk and hard rock but twists them so much they sound unlike anything else – it’s a refreshing take on literally everything, and proves just how creative and out-of-the-box the artist’s approach to music is.

The track’s paranoid storytelling comes from a place of repeated mistrust and that feeling is captured with the impactfulness it deserves from start to finish. “I feel a lot of darkness and urgency, and that has never changed,” Mostafa told Sistra, an Egyptian music magazine. That is exactly how Fire in the Master’s House feels like: urgent and dark, but ultimately irresistible. The way Mostafa plays around with melodies, instruments and meanings is remarkable, constantly challenging the listener and throwing something new at your ears.
With inspirations and influences from the harshness of hyperpop but still taking things several steps further, Sheykh Forever delievered a masterclass in experimental pop. All sides of alternative music fuse together alongside classical elements and an emotionally heavy vocal performance. After a string if interesting singles over the last few years, Sheykh Forever arrives firing at all fronts and drops an entire building on you all at once.
