This time is no different. “Made for Me” sees Frank Joshua embracing vocal jazz and crooner voice to create what can only be described as fully in flourishing love and as happy and confident as ever could be.

“Made for Me” immediately strikes as a blossoming vocal jazz-pop tune with a full band, brass and a driving swing beat that pulls you in to dance. In the center of all the swirling melodies is Frank’s voice, grand and full-on intoxicated with love. He’s got the classic crooner charm, as he boldly exclaims his love on stage complete with naked vulnerability behind the plea to the person to never break his heart.
Frank wrote this song of wide-eyed love when he was 19. That was four decades ago, and it became a crystalline time capsule to the time he experienced that dangerous combo of absolute certainty and burning fear of romance as a late teen. It’s most certainly one of emotionally wildest songs Frank has released so far, as the artist has made his name with carefully unraveled emotional realms constructed at a rather spiritual pace. But, as is proven again and again, teenage lovestruck state of mind is an entire whirlwind and one with lasting effects.
The joy-dread love single comes along with a music video with elements of steampunk and creatures with animal heads and robot features. No matter what size, shape or state any of them are in, all of them are dancing, as if representing the all-encompassing power of love and its ability to reach beyond any distance whatsoever.
Silk ribbons, dancing steampunk turtles and a crooner to represent them all, Frank Joshua’s new song is not only an absolute charmer, but alsi a surprisingly intimate window into his life as a late teen writing about love.
